Hollyoaks shock death draws in viewers to E4

The shock death in Hollyoaks on Friday sees viewers flock to E4.
Fans of the teen soap would have been shocked when watching E4’s first look episode on Thursday (screened on C4 Friday) as Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan) was found dead on her sofa.
The show managed to keep it a secret that she was leaving the show after two years. Lynsey’s life looked like it was back on track after surviving serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle). Silas makes a dramatic return to screens next week and could hold the clue as to what happened to Lynsey.

Over 700,000 tuned in to Hollyoaks first look on Friday to see the aftermath of Brendan Brady (Emmett J Scanlan ) discovering her body. This was the highest first look episode since February and nearly matched the same figure as those watching the main episode previously on Channel 4.
Hollyoaks continues weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm
