Late night tennis pulls in big ratings

The decision to play until 11pm attracts big audience for Murray’s win.
BBC One cleared its evening schedule on Saturday as the tennis took centre stage. The match peaked at over 8million as Murray beat Marcos Baghdatis with an average 6.9 million watching the ‘second half’ of the tennis match as they took a break to erect the roof on centre court.
Due to the tennis BBC One dropped a few programmes, including medial drama Casualty. It is not known yet when exactly the episode will air on BBC One.
Tonight BBC One airs the Euro 2012 final between Spain and Italy. The BBC has teased that a 60 second trail for the London Olympics should air after the match has finished.
