Voice UK coach will.i.am scores No.1

Will.i.am has scored his first number one solo single with ‘This Is Love’.
The Voice UK coach sold an impressive 102,000 copies to take him to the top spot. The single, which was filmed in London, features Dutch singer/songwriter Eva Simons.
He spoke to the Official Charts Company to saying that this proves he can be successful outside his band The Black Eyed Peas.

“I’ve had Number 1s before with the Black Eyed Peas, but to me this one means so much, because I know people thought I can only be successful in the Black Eyed Peas, they were wrong… With love and #willpower you can do anything and I love music… And this is love.” – Will.i.am

It is not yet known if he will be back to coach on the second series of The Voice which is due on BBC One next year.
