Ben de Pear confirmed as Channel 4 News editor

Ben de Pear is named as Channel 4 News editor replacing Jim Gray.
ITN, who produce Channel 4 News, has announced that Ben de Pear will take up the role as editor of the award winning news programme.
Ben has been with Channel 4 since 2005 working as a senior news producer. He then became head of foreign news unit which was at the centre of the Japan Tsunami coverage which won Channel 4 News a BAFTA award.

Jim Gray left the programme last month after 14 years.
