Two journalists arrested in payment probe

Two journalists have been arrested in relation to Operation Elveden.


Dawn raids were carried out this morning as the investigation into allegations of inappropriate payments to police and public officials continues.
A 37-year-old man from Kent and a 34-year-old man from south-east London were arrested at 6.00am this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to corrupt (contrary to the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906) and of conspiracy to cause misconduct in a public office (Contrary to Common Law).
Sky News is reporting that one man is from Daily Star Sunday and the other is from The Sunday Mirror.
