BBC World Service leaves Bush House
After more than 70 years BBC World Service has broadcast for the last time from Bush House.
Thursday seen the last news broadcast from Bush House, which had been home to the World Service for 71 years.
The iconic World Service is moving to New Broadcasting House, which will also be home to BBC News programmes and BBC Online services.
The out-going Director General, Mark Thompson, filed a report for the final bulletin, aired at midday. The move had begun in March, with the main newsroom being last to go yesterday.
The World Service broadcasts programmes around the world in 28 languages.
