More Doctor Who Episode Titles Revealed

Several more episode titles for the forthcoming seventh season of Doctor Who have been revealed.

The title of the season seven opener Asylum of the Daleks was revealed a few weeks ago. Now several more episode titles have been revealed. The second episode of the new series will be Dinosaurs On A Spaceship which is a spin on the movie Snakes on a Plane.

The episode has been written by Chris Chibnall who’s last Who script was the 2010 two-parter The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood. Chibnall was lead-writer for the first two seasons of Torchwood and his other work includes Born & Bred, Camelot and Law & Order UK. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship will co-star Mark Williams as Rory William’s (Arthur Darvill) dad and Rupert Graves. It has been directed by Saul Metzstein.

The third episode is titled A Town Called Mercy and is Doctor Who‘s first Western themed episode is just under 50 years! The last Western episode was The Gunfighters in 1966 when William Hartnell was in the lead role with Peter Purves and Jackie Lane rounding out the regular cast. A Town Called Mercy has been written by Toby Whithouse, creator of Being Human, and includes guest stars Adrian Scarborough and Ben Browder and is also directed by Saul Metzstein.

The fourth episode is titled Cubed but as yet few other details have been revealed. The episode has also been written by Chris Chibnall and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. The episode titled was revealed over the weekend at Comic Con in San Diego.

Matt Smith stated over the weekend the seventh season of Doctor Who would kick off on BBC One in August.
