BBC sign Olympics deal to broadcast games until 2020

The BBC has signed a deal with the International Olympic Committee to broadcast  games until 2020.

The new deal will give the BBC exclusive TV, Radio and digital rights to the next four Olympic games (two winter and two summer). The next summer Olympics following from London will be Rio in 2016. The 2020 host will be awarded next year.
Outgoing Director General of the BBC, Mark Thompson, has said he is delighted that the BBC will continue to exclusively broadcast the games.

London 2012 games begin on Friday 27th July on BBC One.
