TV deal sees Paralympics screened in more than 100 countries

The London 2012 Paralympic Games are to be broadcast around the world to over 100 territories after event organisers agreed a global television deal covering areas such as Pekistan, Iran and America.

“It’s fantastic to know that billions of people around the world will have the opportunity to watch,” London 2012’s Lord Coe told the BBC.

“The deals we have signed are a testament to how great Paralympic sport is. People watching the action on TV will get to see some incredible sport by incredible athletes.”
