E4 on hunt for new drama

Channel 4 have announced they are looking for a new drama for digital channel E4, following success of Skins and Misfits in recent years.
A new pilot season will showcase some of the best submissions from British indies and writers. E4 are looking to target the 16 -34s demographic, a market which they have cornered over the years with British comedy and dramas along with American imports.
Channel 4 Head of Drama, Piers Wenger has said he is “thrilled” about the new pilot season.

“This is an exciting first step in the development of a slate of new drama series for E4. There is a wealth of British drama talent out there and I am thrilled to be able to green-light a drama pilot season and invite new and established writers to come to us with their big ideas.” – Piers Wenger

The pilots will first air in 2013 with the prospect of going beyond that if successful.
