Audrey Landers Retuning To Dallas?
Reports claim that actress Audrey Landers is returning to Dallas for its second series next year.
TNT‘s revival of Dallas looks set to be adding another familiar face to the line-up of its extended second season. According to reports, singer and actress Audrey Landers is making a comeback to the soapy drama. Landers played Afton Cooper in the original series of Dallas between 1981 and 1984 before returning briefly in 1989.
The character of Afton was introduced as the sister of Mitch Cooper (Leigh McCloskey), the short-lived husband of Lucy Ewing (Charlene Tilton). Like many women Afton was initially attracted to JR Ewing (Larry Hagman) but ended up in a relationship, later marriage, with his bitter rival Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval). The character fled Dallas when she realised the bitter feud between the Barnes and Ewing families, which had already cost several lives, was destroying her marriage.
If reports are accurate the character will return to Dallas next year and will more than likely be reunited with her estranged husband as it has also been reported than Ken Kercheval is set to make further appearances in the revived drama.
Producers had promised fans of the original series they would bring back more characters alongside those already featured.
Love it if she did!
