Judith Light Joins Dallas
Judith Light will join the cast of Dallas for the second season of TNT’s revival of the classic oil-based drama.
TV Line reports the actress will play a recurring role in the show which returns to TNT for its second season in January.
Light, known for her roles on shows such as Ugly Betty, One Life to Live and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, will play a ‘controlling’ and ‘manipulative older woman’ who will go to ‘any lengths to project her family’. Some reports claim Light will play the mother of Ann Ewing (Brenda Strong) though this has not yet been confirmed.
It was recently rumoured that actress Audrey Landers will reprise her role of Afton Cooper-Barnes in the show’s second season; the character appeared in the original series between 1981 and 1984 and was married to Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval).
Producers of the revival have previously stated they are open to bringing back more characters from the original series with fan’s hoping producers will bring back characters such as Pamela Barnes-Ewing (Victoria Principal), Gary Ewing (Ted Shackelford) and Valene Ewing (Joan Van Ark).
Dallas continues on Channel Five, in the UK, on Wednesday evenings at 9pm.
