Barrowman up for Doctor Who return

John Barrowman has revealed that he would return to Doctor Who “at the drop of a hat”.

The actor and TV personality told TV Choice that he has not been approached to reprise his role of Captain Jack Harkness for the sci-fi series’ 50th anniversary.
Barrowman first played the role in 2005’s The Empty Child before later appearing in several more episodes and leading the cast of the show’s adult spin-off Torchwood.

Barrowman told TV Choice: “There was a rumour online that said I’m not able to do it because of my schedule. But, actually, I haven’t been asked. So it’s nothing to do with my schedule.
“If they come to me and ask me to do Doctor Who or Torchwood ever again, I would do it at the drop of a hat.”

Barrowman will next be seen in US drama Arrow, playing a mysterious character known as the “well-dressed man”.
