I’m A Celebrity returns with peak of 11.6 million

A peak of 11.6 million viewers watched the return of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The jungle reality show kicked off a new series last night which included controversial MP Nadine Dorries. She gained high press attention in the build up to I’m A Celebrity after signing up for the show.
At 9.00pm, the show hosted by Ant and Dec averaged 10.3 million viewers. However the night was won by Strictly Come Dancing results show on BBC One at 7.25pm which attracted 10.6 million viewers.
That beat The X Factor on ITV1 at 8.00pm for which averaged 9.1 million viewers (including +1).
