Future of new BBC One spy drama in doubt
BBC One’s spy drama Hunted will not be recommissioned for a second series, according to The Guardian.
Reports suggest that the series – which stars Melissa George – has not been renewed due to disappointing audience figures, with a BBC spokesperson revealing that “it had not found the mainstream audience it was hoped.”
The drama launched with a solid 5.6 million viewers last month, but the most recent episode – episode six – attracted just 2.5 million viewers.
George had previously expressed interest in a second series of the show – which is co-produced with US network Cinemax.
Hunted continues on BBC One on 15th November.
