STV in Fake Reaction for ITV2

The show, hosted by Matt Edmondson of T4 fame, is the second recent commission from ITV2 for STV following the four part series Perez Hilton Super Fan.

“We already have a relationship with Matt Edmondson on Totally Bonkers Guinness World Records so I am delighted that we are extending that to Fake Reaction a show we hope will deliver laughs and funny physical challenges.” said Angela Jain, director of digital channels and acquisitions, ITV.

Fake Reaction sees six contestants – a mix of celebrities and comedians – battle it out over a series of games where they are forced to hide their natural reaction in a series of extraordinary challenges. The teams will be challenged with an array of unusual situations that will test all of their senses. If they can conceal their true reaction and fool the rest of the panel, they win.

Gary Chippington, head of entertainment for STV Productions, adds, “We’re sure Fake Reaction will be a brilliantly funny addition to the ITV2 schedule. The games are surprising, sometimes shocking and always funny, with a real play-along-at-home factor, and Matt Edmondson does a brilliant job as host and ringmaster.”

STV Productions developed the Fake Reaction format with LA-based production company Kinetic Content. The show is based partly on a Fuji TV game show format.
STV is the, independent of ITVplc, Scottish ITV broadcaster which covers two regions.
