Rylan Clark leaves The X Factor
Rylan Clark has become the eighth act voted off The X Factor.
Clark faced boyband Union J in the sing-off this week after they received the lowest number of votes from the public.
In the sing-off Clark performed Wires by Athlete and Union J sang Snow Patrol’s Run.
First to vote between the two acts was Rylan’s mentor Nicole Scherzinger who described Union J’s performance as “very moving” before adding “I have to stick with my boy” and choosing to send the boyband home. Next to vote was Union J’s mentor Louis Walsh who stated that his act were “the next big boyband” before choosing to send home Clark.
Gary Barlow described Clark’s sing-off performance as his “best vocal performance” but chose to save Union J, leaving the deciding vote with Tulisa, who chose to send home Clark as she believed Union J had more potential to sell records.
With three votes to one Clark was eliminated from the competition.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 8.00pm on ITV1.
