Emmerdale’s Sheree Murphy throws clothes

Former Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy turned out on Tuesday night to celebrate the launch of The Clothes Throw 2012, the annual event which sees celebrities donate their clothing and accessories to be auctioned to raise funds for children’s hospital, Alder Hey.

Sheree was joined by Made In Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue with other donors include Coleen Rooney, donating a one-off dress she designed for Littlewoods, Fearne Cotton, donating a cream tulip-shaped dress, and Twiggy generously donating a selection of items including signed boots, a full length skirt and palazzo pants. Paloma Faith has also donated a pair of her signature dancing shoes.

Supported by Littlewoods.com, now in its fourth year, the Clothes Throw has already raised over £100,000 for the children’s charity.

Coleen Rooney, who is patron of Alder Hey Children’s Charity, and will be fronting the Clothes Throw this year, said, “I am delighted to be helping Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with their annual Clothes Throw. This is a cause very close to my heart and I’m hoping everyone can get behind this great campaign to make use of the things we have in our wardrobes which we no longer need, and raise much needed funds for the UK’s busiest children’s hospital at the same time.”

Other top celebrities involved with this charitable event include Graham Norton, Alex Jones, Shirley Bassey, Jameela Jamil, Vivienne Westwood , Kimberley Walsh, Joan Collins and Wayne Rooney.
