EastEnder the mystery of who Kat’s lover is?
It may be easier to list the men Kat Moon hasn’t slept with than the ones she has, but next week all will be revealed as to whom Kat has been romancing behind hubby Alfie’s back in her latest fling
Fans of the long running BBC One saga have been desperate to know who the landlady of the Queen Vic has been seeing behind husband Alfie’s back in recent months with any clue closely examined. It appears for some the cast list for the episode may just hold the vital answers.
EastEnders is famous these days for its dramatic ‘duff duff’ endings – those famous nine-drum beats – which such a storyline reveal would surely have? The soaps diehards think so. The programme also has a long running procedure to list those who appear last in the episode first in the closing credits with each subsequent appearance in order there after.
Are you following this? Its quite a simple logic really. It all becomes clear thanks to the ‘reveal’ episodes cast listing which places Jessie Wallace first, so she appears last in the last scene as Kat. Followed by Jamie Foreman as Derek Branning as the person who was seen second last in the last scene and also Shane Richie as Alfie Moon is listed third so he’s there too obviously, but isn’t getting the duff duff shot.
We know from reports Derek is being killed off in the show, but as he departs Albert Square and Walford for the soap grave yard, are we to find out he’s at least been having blissful rumpy pumpy with the resident tart?
While BBC Elstree are sure not to give anything away until the episode airs, EastEnders fans conclude that the likely outcome is a lusty moment between Derek and Kat is cut short by the arrival of Alfie who discovers them in the midst of passion.
“Low knickers for high ratings” says ATV Today Critic Queenie, adding “What would mainstay Queen Vic landlady Peggy Micthell make of it all had she still been around? I guess she’d just be pleased it wasn’t Phil or Grant knocking up the local slapper.”
Of course the fans forum ponderings could be completely wrong and we won’t know for sure until December 2oth when all those Kat lovers will be put out of their misery.
