Tony Wood chops Lime Job

Lime PicturesTony Wood is to leave his post as creative director of Lime Pictures it has been announced.

Wood will leave the independent producer at the end of this month following a seven year stint. During his time at Lime Pictures, the former Coronation Street boss has overseen shows such as Hollyoaks and The Only Way Is Essex.
The company’s chief executive Lesley Douglas reportedly shared the news with staff today via an e-mail.

“I have loved working with Tony this past year, strengthening the creative team and securing a structure to take Lime into its next exciting stage as we expand into new territories and broaden our range of programmes.
 
“We are all immensely grateful to Tony for the legacy he leaves behind him, and I hope we work together again in the future.”

Wood was producer of Coronation Street between 2004 and 2006, bringing to the screen a number of popular storylines including the Steve, Karen and Tracy triangle and Todd Grimshaw’s struggle with his sexuality.
