BBC confirm new theme, titles for Doctor Who

The forthcoming Doctor Who Christmas special will debut a revamped theme tune and title sequence for the sci-fi drama, the BBC has confirmed.

The new title sequence is billed as “wonderfully dramatic and striking” by the series’ official website, while the new theme is said to be “thrilling”, “powerful” and “scary”, whilst remaining “true to the original”.
The hour-long romp titled The Snowmen will also feature a new interior design for the Doctor’s TARDIS. Penned by showrunner Steven Moffatt, The Snowmen sees Jenna-Louise Coleman appear in a new regular role as companion Clara, while Richard E Grant and Tom Ward (Silent Witness) guest star.
Doctor Who returns to BBC One on Tuesday 25th December at 5.15pm.
