US remake of Linda Green for Fox

A US remake of Linda Green is in the works for Fox.

The original British series starred Liza Tarbuck as a woman in her 30s dealing with love and life issues, whilst holding down two jobs as a car saleswoman and a nightclub singer.
The series aired on BBC One between 2001 and 2002.
The remake sees the events of the original relocated to Boston. Alex Borstein will pen the adaption with Paul Abbott – who co-created the UK original – on board as executive producer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It is the second Paul Abbott series to be remade for US TV in recent times after the success of Shameless USA on Showtime.
