X Factor winner leading in Christmas number one battle
James Arthur is currently in the lead to take the Christmas number one spot at the weekend.
Arthur, who won the X Factor earlier this month, soared to number one last Sunday with ‘Impossible’. He sold over 490,000 copies last week making it the fastest selling single of 2012.
He faces stiff competition from The Justice Collective, whose cover of ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’, is raising money for the families of the Hillsborough football disaster. The collective features artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Spice Girl Melanie C.
The collective are just 3,000 copies behind the 76,000 copies of Arthur’s ‘Impossible’.
