Louis Smith tipped to win Strictly Come Dancing
One of the betting companies has placed Gymnast Louis Smith their 8/11 favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing ahead of Saturday’s final.
Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh is considered the two time Olympic bronze medallist’s nearest rival at 7/4 with actress Dani Harmer and TV presenter Denise Van Outen propping up the betting at 10/1 and 14/1 respectively.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said “Louis Smith is bound to come out with some spectacular vote winning moves on Saturday and with the three remaining female contestants likely to appeal to similar viewers it really is the Olympian’s to lose.”
Walsh however is the bookie’s favourite to achieve the highest score on the night at 15/8 followed by Louis and Denise who are both at 9/4 with Dani available at 4/1.
Elsewhere, Paddy Power are also betting on what will be the first cliché that the judges roll out during the final. Here, “Amazing” is the favourite to be first uttered by the unimaginative bunch at 11/4 followed by “Fabulous” at 3/1 while “Hot, Hot, Hot” is amongst the outsiders at 40/1.
Strictly Come Dancing, hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly (pictured), returns at 7pm on Saturday for the grand final with the results show later that night at 9.10pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
