Tyne Bridge with Olympic Rings 2012The Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic games are high up on the list in a new survey released.
The survey which was commissioned by Samsung has revealed that the most inspiring moment on TV was the 1969 moon landing, one of the most watched events on television ever.
Other major events on TV include former South African President Nelson Mandela being released from prison and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Second was the opening ceremony of the summer games which was watched on the BBC by a massive 23 million viewers. It however topped the 2012 chart with its counterpart, the Paralympic Games, coming second for this year’s most inspiring TV events.
