Susan Lucci 'Contacted' Over All My Children Revival

All-My-Children-mediumSusan Lucci has reportedly been contacted over the possible revival of fallen daytime soap All My Children.

Lucci played diva Erica Kane for the entire run (1970 – 2011) of AMC on ABC – the only original cast member to remain with the soap for its entire duration. Lucci reportedly declined to sign up to Prospect Park’s first planned revival of AMC but these reports were denied by the actress.

Several news outlets have reported that Lucci has been contacted about reprising her role on the new planned revival of AMC. It is still VERY early days for the planned revival but more details have started to emerge which sound very promising. Signing up Lucci for the new AMC would be a big bonus for Prospect Park and, of course, the soap’s fans. However, it may prove to be tricky because Lucci is currently committed to Lifetime series Devious Maids – a show originally developed for ABC who passed on it.

TV Line reports that cast members of AMC and sister soap One Life To Live have been contacted about returning and those who haven’t been approached already will be in the New Year.
