Tom Daley Hopes For Television Career After Splash!
Olympic star Tom Daley hopes his role in ITV‘s new series Splash! will lead to further television roles.
The Olympic star is the coach in ITV’s new Saturday evening entertainment series Splash! based on the Dutch series Sterren Springen. The celebrity diving series will feature the likes of Linda Barker and Jennifer Metcalfe with Daley on hand to teach the contestants how to dive. In a new interview Daley has spoken of his hopes that Splash! will lead to further television roles.
“When I finish diving, I’d like to be a TV presenter, being a mentor will give me lots of experience, so I can get to the stage where, after diving, I’ll be able to do presenting.” – Tom Daley in New magazine
The celebrity line-up for Splash! was revealed yesterday by ITV and is a mixture of soap actors, comedians, television presenters and sports personalities. Competing alongside Barker and Metcalfe will be Dom Joly, Caprice and Joey Essex. Find out which other celebrities are taking part here >>
