Corrie: Charlie Condou signs new contract

Actor Charlie Condou has signed a new two-year deal to stay with Coronation Street.

Condou, who plays Marcus Dent, confirmed on Twitter that he had signed a new contract with ITV following a report in newspapers yesterday.

“Thanks for messages today, I’m obviously very pleased to have signed my new Corrie contract. Lots of stories planned.” – Charlie Condou

It has been denied that he and fellow actor Antony Cotton have fallen and out only speak to each other on set when they have to. Cotton’s character, Sean Tully, had previously went out with Marcus.

Marcus is currently dating Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie) after developing feelings for her.
