Kin Shriner Returning To General Hospital

Kin Shriner has become the latest actor to agree to return to ABC’s General Hospital.

Yet another familiar face will reappear in Port Charles in coming weeks as actor Kin Shriner has agreed to bring his character of Scott Baldwin back ahead of General Hospital’s 50th anniversary. ABC Soaps in Depth report the actor returns to filming on General Hospital at the end of January with his first scenes due to air towards the end of February.

The character of Scott Baldwin was last seen on-screen in 2008 when he departed the city of Port Charles on the same plane as Laura (Genie Francis). It was recently revealed that Genie Francis had agreed to reprise her role of Laura on General Hospital once more so doubtless Scott’s return will be tided in to Laura’s re-appearance.

Kin Shriner first portrayed the character of Scott Baldwin in 1977 and became entangled in a love triangle with Laura and Luke; the super couple of the 1980s. Shriner has played the character on and off since his original debut in 1977 and also appeared, as Scott, in spin-off series Port Charles between 1997 and 2000 and again a year later in 2001.

Shriner’s other soap roles include Texas (a spin-off from Another World), As The World Turns and The Young and the Restless.
