Tuesday Soap Ratings: EastEnders Tops 8 Million Viewers
EastEnders was last night’s most watched soap averaging 8.2 million viewers from 7.30pm with a further 600,000 watching the BBC Three repeat at 10.30pm.
Following EastEnders at 8pm was long-running medical drama Holby City which had 5.2 million viewers. Earlier daytime soap Doctors attracted 1.6 million viewers at 1.45pm.
Emmerdale at 7pm on ITV pulled in 7.2 million viewers with an additional 140,000 viewers thanks to the time-shift channel. At 6.30pm teen soap Hollyoaks mustered 1 million viewers. At 7pm the first-look edition of the soap pulled in 652,000 viewers with a further 130,000 via E4’s time-shift channel.
Australian imports Home and Away and Neighbours both struggled somewhat in the ratings. Neighbours pulled in 670,000 viewers for its first airing at 1.45 with 900,000 for the 5.30pm broadcast. Home and Away meanwhile had 630,000 viewers for Channel 5.
