Kerry Katona is face of British reality television

Kerry Katona Loose Women 2002Her troubled off-screen life keeps the tabloids in sordid news, her career has ranged from singing to presenting, however it seems Kerry Katona’s willingness to appear on reality television has made her the most frequent to star on such shows.

Research carried out by the Radio Times has revealed Katona is the face most likely to grace your reality television screen.

“Yes, that’s right, our hours of painstaking research and analysis have concluded that the 32-year-old former songstress is not only Queen of the Jungle, but also Queen of ALL reality television.” The Radio Times state.

Kerry Katona  has starred in six shows so far: Celebrity Big Brother, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Wedding Planner, Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and The Big Reunion.

Jeff Brazier is close behind with five series: Call Me a Cabbie, Dancing On Ice, The Farm, Celebrity Wrestling and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

Alison Hammond also has five to her credit: Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Coach Trip and Fit Club.

Lady Isabella Hervey has four to her name: The Games, Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Love Island and Call Me A Cabbie.

Goldie is another four-star-celebrity: The Games, Celebrity Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

Pat Sharp is smoothly placed with four also: The Games, I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Coach Trip.

Raef Bjayou also has made four appearances with: The Apprentice, Wedding Planner, Coach Trip and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

Michelle Heaton another foursome with: Celebrity Wrestling, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, Celebrity Big Brother and Big Reunion.

Nicola McLean with also four: I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Celebrity Four Weddings

Chantelle Houghton has a dimly-lit four as well: Big Brother, Ultimate Big Brother, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Call Me A Cabbie.

The Radio Times note that there is an obvious omission.

“Katie Price was an early favourite to win the title of Queen of Reality TV. However, as most of the shows starring the glamour model are also produced by Katie Price and entirely about Katie Price, they have not been included in our survey.”

Katona found fame in the 1990s with music act Atomic Kitten, which proved to be an explosive springboard to success. Other roles have included being a regular on Loose Women and starring in her own ‘fly on the wall’ documentary series which charted her often troubled life.

The research involved personalities who have appeared across a total of 28 reality shows.
