Celebrities announced for Let’s Dance for Comic Relief

BBC-One_medium-wheelJon Culshaw and Tim Vine have been confirmed along with a number of other celebrities to take part in this year’s Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.

The celebrities will parody a famous dance routine in front of a judging panel made up from a variety of TV and comedy personalities.

There will be three Saturday night heats, beginning on 16 February on BBC One, which will culminate in the grand final on 9 March, all in aid of Comic Relief. It will be hosted once again by The One Show host Alex Jones and former T4 presenter Steve Jones.

The competition was won last year by comedian Rowland Rivron, dancing to Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice.

Other names announced today include boxer Ricky Hatton and actress Nina Conti.

Red Nose Day 2013 is take place on Friday 15 March when the great British public will once again be asked to Do Something Funny for Money. This year, 2013, marks the 25th anniversary of Red Nose Day which has raised over £600m and helped to change lives both in the UK and Africa.
