Claire Holt Discusses Vampire Diaries Return

VD_Rebekah-mediumActress Claire Holt has discussed her return to CW drama series The Vampire Diaries.

On Thursday evening the supernatural series returns from its mid-season break and they’ll be some familiar faces in Mystic Falls as Rebekah and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) are back and that can only mean one thing; trouble. Actress Claire Holt has discussed her return to the series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Claire Holt was last seen in the episode The Five which aired in November so her character of Rebekah has plenty of catching up to do in tomorrow night’s episode, After School. Rebekah has a particularly interesting way of catching up with events in Mystic Falls as the actress tells EW “Rebkeah gathers Stefan, Elena, and Caroline in the high school and she basically psychologically tortures them…she questions them about the tattoo, and the cure, and Stefan and Elena’s relationship, and it brings some uncomfortable truths to light. It’s definitely going to be much more difficult for Caroline, Elena, and Stefan than it is for Rebekah.”

Rebekah’s temporary departure from Mystic Falls was due to her brother Klaus (Joseph Morgan) “daggering” her once more. “She’s so devastated that he’s betrayed her. He’s done it so many times now, I’m not sure that they’re going to be able to rebuild that trust. It would take a lot and be a long journey for them, if they were to ever be as close as they used to be. Both of them now are more out for themselves. Her goal it to find the cure, and she doesn’t really care about anyone else.”
