Cameron Mathison: Door Left Open For Future All My Children Return

All-My-Children-mediumActor Cameron Mathison says Prospect Park have left the “door open” for him to return to All My Children.

When viewers return to Pine Valley shortly one resident who will be absent will be Ryan Lavery. That’s because actor Cameron Mathison has not signed up to reprise his role under Prospect Park’s revival but that doesn’t mean viewers won’t be seeing the actor back working on the soap at some point in the future.

Mathison is currently unable to reprise his role of Ryan because of other work projects, as he explained to Soaps in Depth; “They contacted me and they were great. But I’m in Toronto right now shooting a movie and I’ve got some stuff going on in L.A. It just wasn’t possible for me to shoot AMC in Connecticut right now.”However, the actor notes that Prospect Park are “leaving it open” for him to return at a later point.

Yesterday Prospect Park revealed just which actors had signed up to reprise their AMC roles when production resumes in January. Actors Jordi Vilasuso, Jill Larson, Thorsten Kaye, Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Lindsay Hartley and Vincent Irizarry will all be returning with more casting details expected over the coming weeks. Original cast member Susan Lucci has been approached about reprising her role of diva Erica Kane. However, her role in Lifetime drama Devious Maids may prevent her for participating in the revival.

Meanwhile sister soap One Life to Live will see Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser, Jerry verDorn, Tuc Watkins, Robert S. Woods, Kassie DePaiva, Florencia Lozano, Melissa Archer, Hilary B. Smith, Kelley Missal, Josh Kelly and Andrew Trishchitta reprise their respective roles. Meanwhile Sean Ringgold, Shenaz Treasury and Nick Choksi will recur on the revived soap.
