Alicia Minshew In Talks To Rejoin All My Children

All-My-Children-altActress Alicia Minshew has confirmed she is in talks to reprise her role of Kendall Hart Slater in Prospect Park’s revival of All My Children.

The actress confirmed to TV Line that she was in talks with Prospect Park to return to the former ABC daytime soap but it all depends on her schedule. Minshew’s co-star Thorsten Kaye has already signed up to reprise his role of Zach Slater; Kendall and Zach were dubbed “Zendall” by fans of the couple.

“Zendall” fans can hold out hope, yet as of right now, a reunion is not yet a sure thing. I’m really excited for the fans to have their shows back. I am currently in discussions with Prospect Park to work out scheduling around other projects I have already committed to. We’re keeping the lines of communication open, and hopefully it can work out for me to join later on.”  – Alicia Minshew quoted by TV Line

The character of Kendall was first introduced to All My Children in 1993 as played by Sarah Michelle Gellar who left, in 1995, to find bigger roles in television shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and films such as Scream 2 and Cruel Intentions. The character was re-introduced to the soap in 2002 with Minshew in the role.

The character is, of course, the daughter of Erica Kane as played by actress Susan Lucci who was – at the time of AMC‘s television finale – the last remaining original cast member. Sources state that Lucci has been approached to reprise her role but her role in Lifetime drama Devious Maids may or may not be a problem.

So far actors Jordi Vilasuso, Jill Larson, Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Lindsay Hartley and Vincent Irizarry have all signed up to reprise their respective roles. More casting details are expected to be announced over the coming weeks before production resumes in February.
