Channel 5 to air Speidi special

Channel 5 are to air a one-hour special on the celebrity couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

The pair, who are known together as ‘Speidi’, took part in Celebrity Big Brother last month in which they came second to X Factor contestant Rylan Clark. While in the house the American husband and wife reality duo ended up in several arguments after openly telling their fellow housemates that they did not like them.

Heidi and Spencer are seen as the reality TV King and Queen in America, where they rose to fame on MTV’s The Hills. The Hills was one of the first constructed reality shows and went on to inspire many others such as The Only Way Is Essex.

Featuring intimate and revealing interviews with Heidi and Spencer and contributions from those who have surrounded them, the one-off programme will look into what makes ‘Speidi’ one of the most love to hate couples on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Speidi Story will air on Channel 5 later this month.
