Splash! Finale Tops Saturday Ratings

The finale of Splash! topped the ratings on Saturday evening.

The celebrity diving series, featuring Olympian Tom Daley, was won by Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards beating fellow finalists Linda Barker and Jake Canuso. The episode delivered 5.3 million viewers to ITV with a peak of 6.5 million viewers.

Elsewhere on Saturday evening Clare Balding’s new series Britain’s Brightest continued on BBC One with 4.3 million viewers while Lottery show In It To Win It pulled in 4.9 million viewers.

Michael French’s last episode of Casualty was watched by 5.1 million viewers on BBC One from 8.50pm. Yesterday it was revealed that original cast member Patrick Robinson will return to the medical drama shortly. Finally a repeat of Mrs Brown’s Boys had 4.7 million viewers; earlier this week the BBC ordered a new two-part festive special of the comedy to air at Christmas.
