Call the Midwife’s ratings climb 500,000
BBC One‘s Call the Midwife was Sunday’s most popular show pulling in an impressive 9.2m (31.4%) from 8pm – up 500,000 on last week’s instalment.
Lagging behind was ITV1‘s Dancing On Ice at 6.15pm which had 6.7m (27.4%, 179k +1) for its performance show, with 5.4m (18.1%, 255k +1) returning later at 8.30pm for Dancing On Ice: The Skate Off.
Before Dancing On Ice, All Star Family Fortunes achieved a solid 5.1m (17.1%) betwen 7.45pm and 8.30pm in a difficult slot where it faced both Call the Midwife and Top Gear.
At 9pm ITV’s Mr Selfridge extended its lead over BBC One’s Ripper Street with 5.5m (22%, 497k +1) tuning in against 5.1m (20.1%) for Ripper Street.
Top Gear had 5.2m (17.7%) for BBC Two at 8pm, while The Hotel topped the night for Channel 4 with 1.4m (5%).
