Mum of two and on-off-Steps band member Claire Richards today joined a phone and broadband’s toy soldiers to celebrate 10 years of Safer Internet Day. The soldiers used in a HomeSafe campaign which offers to protect children from inappropriate content.

TalkTalk, behind the HomeSafe offering is supporting Safer Internet Day as part of its commitment to helping its customers and families to be safer online. Safer Internet Day is organised every year by the UK Safer Internet Centre, for its commitment to promoting safe, responsible use of online technology for children and young people.

Claire said: “Safer Internet Day is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of internet safety, especially for children. I am a mum of two and anything that can be done to reduce my children’s exposure to harmful content online is a great thing.”

Claire, one of the popular celebrity housemates in the recent Celebrity Big Brother series, posed with children and ten toy soldiers, each representing a year that Safer Internet Day has helped protect families online.
