Aisha Hinds Joins Under the Dome

Former True Blood actress Aisha Hinds has joined the cast of CBS‘s Under the Dome.

The network’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel has added Hinds as Carolyn Hill; a powerful attorney who is trapped in the town of Chester Mill reports TV Line. The cast of Under the Dome includes Britt Robertson, Colin Ford, Natalie Martinez, Alex Koch and Nicholas Strong.

Production has only recently begun on the series, slated to premier in the Summer, and more casting is likely to be announced in the coming weeks.

Aisha Hinds played fake witch-doctor Miss Jeanette in the first series of supernatural drama True Blood. The character scammed Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Lettie Mea (Adina Porter) into thinking she was performing an exorcism on them both but paid a high price when she was brutally murdered.

Hinds is currently playing Detective Sakelik in The CW drama series Cult and her other notable roles include Maureen Mason in Detroit 1-8-7, Latrice in Weeds and Loomis in Dollhouse.
