Charles Michael Davis Signs Up For Vampire Diaries Spin-Off

The Game actor Charles Michael Davis has landed a role in The Vampire Diaries spin-off.

TV Line reports that Davis is the latest actor to be cast in The Originals; the planned spin-off from The Vampire Diaries. The actor has been cast in the crucial role of Marcel; the former protégé of Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

The pilot for The Originals will air on The CW in April and will be part of The Vampire Diaries‘ fourth season. It will be written by Julie Plec who is the show-runner for Diaries and is also developing a remake of cult British classic The Tomorrow People for The CW as well.

The Originals will see Klaus return to New Orleans where he is reunited with Marcel. The proposed spin-off will also feature fan-favour Daniel Gillies as Klaus’ brother Elijah and Phoebe Tonkin who will continue in her Diaries role of werewolf Hayley. Daniella Pineda will play a witch in the spin-off.
