Blue Bloods Tops Friday Night Ratings

CBSCBS drama Blue Bloods topped the Friday night ratings with over 11 million viewers while CSI: NY hit a season high in terms of 18-49 ratings.

At 8pm the hour was won in terms of total viewers and the all important 18-49 viewers with Last Man Standing which had 7.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating. Ratings dropped in the second part of the hour though as Malibu Country pulled in 6.1 million viewers with a 1.3 rating. NBC‘S Dateline had an average audience of 7 million viewers with a 1.5 18-49 rating for its two-hour block. Kiefer Sutherland drama Touch kicked off its second season on Fox with 3.7 million viewers and a 1.0 18-49 rating. Meanwhile the premier of The Job on CBS didn’t perform well with 4.1 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating. At 9pm Shark Tank on ABC pulled in 6.1 million viewers with a 1.9 18-49 rating while CSI: NY on CBS hit a new season high with 9.4 million viewers and a 1.6 18-49 rating. Some experts are predicting CSI: NY will be cancelled by CBS at the end of its current series following the demise of CSI: Miami last year. If the forensic drama continues to perform well that may change but it all depends on which freshman dramas CBS wants to pick up and which it wishes to cancel.

At 10pm CBS’ Blue Bloods was the most watched programme of the night with 11.1 million viewers but with an 18-49 rating of 1.5.
