Martine McCutcheon declared bankrupt
Actress and singer Martine McCutcheon was declared bankrupt today at a local county court.
McCutcheon is most famous for playing Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders. She left the show in 1998 to pursue a music career, which saw her début at number one in 1999 with ballad ‘Perfect Moment’. She later made a cameo appearance in romantic comedy film Love Actually in 2003.
ITV News reports that bankruptcy trustees KPMG are now responsible for her estate with a spokesperson for the company stating: “We are now responsible for administering her estate and are in the process of establishing the individual’s assets and liabilities, the largest creditor being Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.”
The proceedings took place at Kingston-Upon-Thames County Court. Other television appearances include ITV dramas Midsomer Murders (pictured) and The Knock.
