Hugh Jackman’s Wife Not Happy With Gay Rumours

Australian Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that his wife does not like the rumours surrounding his sexuality.

Like many Hollywood actors Jackman has been the subject of speculation, rumour and gossip surrounding his sexuality despite being happily married. Jackman has been married to his wife, Deborra Lee Furness, for 16 years but still rumours persist of gay affairs.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that actor discussed the rumours and how is wife doesn’t like the rumours especially when she read stories online containing them. “Just recently, it bugs her. She goes, ‘It’s big. It’s everywhere!” The actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

In 2009 Jackman also addressed speculation about his sexuality stating “I’d be happy to go and deny being gay, because I’m not. But by denying it, I’m saying there is something shameful about it, and there isn’t anything shameful. The questions about sexuality I find more in America than anywhere else, because it’s a big hang-up and defines what people think about themselves and others”

Jackman can currently be seen in the hit film Les Miserables in which he plays Jean Valjean. The actor is perhaps best known for his role as Wolverine in the X Men trilogy; he reprised the role for the 2009 spin-off film focusing on his character and will play Wolverine once again in The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Jackman’s other notable credits include Van Helsing, Deception and Australia. He lent his vocal talents to the animated films Flushed Away and Happy Feet.

In 2008 Hugh Jackman was named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ in two separate polls and was also GQ’s(Australia) man of the year.
