Community Ratings Fall
Ratings for NBC‘s cult comedy Community fell on Thursday evening following its season premier last week.
Valentines Day may or may not have had an impact on last night’s ratings but fans of Community will be hoping the big drop was down to the special occasion and not a sign of things to come. The critically acclaimed comedy returned last week with 3.9 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating. It’s second episode at 8pm last night drew 2.7 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating. If Community continues to attract such low ratings fans can rule out a fifth season.
Elsewhere at 8pm The Big Bang Theory drew 17.6 million viewers to CBS at 8pm with an 18-49 rating of 5.4. The series was followed by Two and a Half Men which had 13.7 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Following Community on NBC at 8.30 was Parks and Recreation which pulled in 3.1 million viewers and a 1.5 rating. American Idol on Fox continued its 12th season with 12.3 million viewers and a 3.6 18-49 rating. The premier of Zero Hour on ABC didn’t set the ratings alight as 6.2 million viewers tuned in with a 1.3 rating. The hour was rounded off by The Vampire Diaries on The CW which had 2.3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating.
At 9pm CBS drama Person of Interest won the hour with 14.8 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating. ABC’s long-running medical saga Grey’s Anatomy was second with 8.3 million viewers and a 2.7 rating. The Office on NBC meanwhile drew 4 million viewers and Glee on Fox was seen by 5.1 million viewers and a 1.7 18-49 rating. The CW’s Beauty and the Beast pulled in 1.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.
At 10pm Scandal on ABC attracted 8 million viewers with a 2.8 rating while Elementary on CBS mustered 10.8 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating.
