Bryan Singer’s Battlestar Galactica Movie ‘On Hold’
Bryan Singer has revealed his planned movie adaptation of Battlestar Galactica is ‘on hold’.
The news shouldn’t come as any great surprise considering Singer is busy working on the new X Men movie Days of Future Past. Also the lack of news surrounding the planned BSG movie of late was a further hint nothing much was happening with it.
In an interview with Coming Soon on Days of Future Past the Galactica movie was discussed and Singer confirmed what we all knew “I have that one on hold for a moment, so hopefully, I’d love to be able to get back to that, but for now I’m just focused on this X-Men business”
The possibility of a Battlestar Galactica movie first emerged following the television finale of Syfy‘s “re-imaged” version. The planned movie would not be based on Ron Moore’s take on Battlestar Galactica but instead be based on the original 1970s series created by Glen A Larson.
However, it was later stated the movie would also pay homage, in some way, to the critically acclaimed Syfy series. Fans of the Battlestar Galactica franchise are currently waiting to see if Syfy will pick up the prequel Blood and Chrome for a full series or further special episodes.
