Cynthia Addai-Robinson Lands Vampire Diaries Role

Spartacus actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson is to guest-star in The Vampire Diaries.

TV Guide reports that the actress will play Aja in an episode to air in March. Aja is a powerful witch who arrives in Mystic Falls to mentor Bonnie (Kat Graham). The character will have a connection with Bonnie’s AWOL mother Abby (Persia White).

Cynthia Addai-Robinson plays Naevia in Starz’s historical drama Spartacus. The actress took over the role from Lesley-Ann Brandt who played the slave in the first series of Spartacus and its prequel Gods of the Arena. Addai-Robinson’s other notable roles include appearances in Flashforward, NCIS: Los Angeles and Dirt.
