Twilight Breaking Dawn picks up Razzie award for worst film

The annual Golden Raspberry Awards have been held with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 being named worst film of 2012.

The awards are held on the eve of the Academy Awards taking place in Los Angeles. Along with worst pictures, the Twilight film also picked up Worst Actress (Kristen Stewart) Worst Supporting Actor (Taylor Lautner), Worst Screen Couple (Lautner and Mackenzie Foy), Worst Screen Ensemble, Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst Director for Bill Condon.

The worst actor award was given to Adam Sandler for his performance in That’s My Boy!. Worst supporting actress was awarded to pop star Rihanna for her acting debut in Battleship.

Results were announced in a comedic press conference, which parodied the format of other award shows. The venue for this year’s Golden Raspberry bash-fest was The Continental Breakfast Room of the Holiday Inn Express Hollywood Walk of Fame hotel.
