Joey Essex and Sam Faiers Quitting The Only Way Is Essex?

Joey Essex and Sam Faiers are reportedly planning to quit The Only Way Is Essex.

A report in tabloid newspaper the Sunday Mirror claims the duo have informed TOWIE bosses the current series of the ITV2 show will be their last. Essex and Faiers are reportedly planning to film their own spin-off series.

“During the break from filming, Sam made a pilot for the spinoff. It concentrates on her relationship with Joey and all the joy and drama that entails. An announcement of which network will show it is imminent. There hasn’t been a big TV couple since Katie Price and Peter Andre and Joey and Sam are keen to fill the gap.” – An “insider” quoted by the Sunday Mirror

If the duo do indeed quit it will be another blow to TOWIE which has last several of its star since its original launch. “This is the last thing we needed. Sam is the most popular female on TOWIE, one of the few original cast” an insider is quoted as saying. Previous TOWIE cast members to quit include Amy Childs, Mark Wright, Lydia Bright, Lauren Goodger and Harry Derbidge.

The Only Way Is Essex returns to ITV2 at 10pm tonight for a brand new series.
