Monday Ratings: The Carrie Diaries Continues To Struggle

The-CW-Green-LogoSex and the City prequel series The Carrie Diaries continues to struggle in the ratings.

The CW drama pulled in 1.1 million viewers with a 0.5 18-49 rating onĀ  Monday evening. It isn’t the network’s lowest rated drama – that title belongs to 90210 – but the poor figures don’t help its chance of renewal. The Carrie Diaries along with fellow freshman drama Beauty and the Beast are now “bubble shows” and their fates could very well be decided by the ratings they pull in over the next few weeks.

Elsewhere on Monday evening CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother won the 8pm but only in terms of 18-49 viewers but as far as advertisers are concerned that’s the important figure. The comedy pulled in 8.6 million viewers but had a 3.4 18-49 rating while Rules of Engagement, which followed, had 7.8 million and a 2.6 18-49 rating. ABC’s The Bachelor had more viewers overall with 9.1 million viewers and a 2.9 rating while Fox drama Bones had slightly more viewers as well with 8.67 million but a lower 2.3 rating. NBC’s two-hour block of The Biggest Loser meanwhile pulled in 5.7 million viewers with a 2.1 rating.

At 9pm 2 Broke Girls won the hour for CBS with 10.1 million viewers and a 3.2 rating while Mike & Molly afterwards dropped to a season low of 9.7 million viewers and a 2.7 rating. Kevin Bacon drama The Following on Fox continued with 8.4 million viewers and a 2.7 rating; dropping on last week’s figures but still a good performance. Meanwhile on The CW 90210 showed no sign of recovering from its dismal ratings with 580,000 viewers.

At 10pm Castle had 10.6 million viewers with a 2.3 18-49 rating while Hawaii Five-0 on CBS fell to 6.4 million viewers with a 1.4 18-49 rating – a big drop from last week’s figures.
